VIP's mission explicitly states the belief in equality among people and the intent to work toward that goal. Equality doesn't mean just the eradication of sexism or racism, but also includes other forms of discrimination such as ageism, homophobia, and discrimination based upon being low-income.
We firmly believe in the equality of women and men. To promote equality, we provide advocacy, counseling, and education for victims of emotional, mental, physical, and sexual abuse, regardless of age, handicap, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation.
